Since 1949, Labat-Merle has specialised in manufacturing, distributing, maintaining and managing wooden cable reels and drums.
Responsibility
Production units are situated in the Landes de Gascogne forest massif (the largest continuous softwood forest massif in Europe as well as the leader nationally in sustainable management).
Here, they benefit from a privileged location with ready access to high-quality raw material maritime pine and a wide network of local sawyers, thereby guaranteeing that the wood originates solely from sustainably managed forest plots.
Local support for clients
Since its inception, Labat-Merle has wanted to be close to cable clients by building assembly and management sites close to their cable factories. This network allows the company to be extremely responsive to client needs with a carefully chosen range of stock on hand at all times.
The company’s production site close to the Spanish border and major road networks allows the business to offer similar services to its Spanish neighbours.
